make your own hidden dolls house

One of my favourite creations also happens to be one of the first creations!

I got this idea from the DIY SOS show, and I thought it was genius, so obviously when I told the joiner what I wanted he looked a little confused, but its the best little hidden gem that I created and the kids love it.

Step 1 - whether you are getting something bespoke or using a company all you really need is 4x mini cubby holes, and if you are making it bespoke you can add a roof too!

Step 2 - Prime the surfaces, this was my biggest mistake with the IKEA kitchen and why I had to re do it all.

Step 3 - I painted some of the walls and used some print outs from Etsy for some of it. I used paint samples as it was cheaper and I didn’t need much. I also used my fave chalkboard stick on for some of the walls too!

Step 4 - Next step is the floor and I found it easier to use the stick on for this, the wood look - marble effect - tiles

Step 5 - Mini decor bits are so much fun and I plan to get more in time too. This was all sourced from Etsy, and my faves are the; banner /string lights/ play tent/ storage box.

Step 6 - the furniture, this I got mostly from Sebra, but I can’t find the exact same so here is something similar from John Lewis; kitchen /living room/ bedroom /kids/ bathroom or this set is pretty perfect from Amazon!

Step 7 - the people, I bought them from Flying Tiger in store, but these are pretty cute too!
