MY TOP TIPS for GETTING ORGANISED IN LOCKDOWN

For the last year we have been spending more time at home, so why not use it as an opportunity to get more organised? Just by making a few changes it can improve your home as well as make you feel good!

  • The Bathroom - think outside the box for storage (no pun intended!). This area is always one of the most cluttered places, there are so many little bits - cotton wool buds, tweezers etc. If you have narrow cupboards why not use a tealight holder for all your little accessories, not only does it look good its really easy to store all the little bits & bobs.

  • The Kitchen - every kitchen is so different, but if you are struggling to fit all the food in, why not buy some nice jars for some of your pasta, grains or cereal and place it on the countertop? Not only does it look good, you don't have to look far for the food!

  • The Bedroom - having too many clothes out means it is more susceptible to mess! Why not box up your summer clothes and place them in a spare room or on a high shelf so you have more room to store & see your winter clothes.

  • Shoes - by placing shoes back to front you will automatically have more space on the shelf for them, and you can also purchase shoe holders so they can fit on top of each other so you can gain even more space!

  • The Utility - everyone has that messy drawer, the one where you throw batteries/wires/selotape etc into it - so why not purchase some drawer dividers so everything has a place and its not on top of each other

  • The Coat Cupboard - its so important to utilise space, why not get some hooks for the door so you can hang your bag when you come in so it doesn't get thrown on the floor?

  • The Playroom - you cannot put a toy pram in a storage box, but you can organise the smaller toys into baskets or boxes and label them so everything has a place!
